2 pairs of relations who are playing in WPL 2023

In the history of the Indian Premier League, we have witnessed many cricketers from the same family taking a part in the competition. Some of the famous examples include Hardik Pandya-Krunal Pandya, Albie Morkel-Morne Morkel, Yusuf Pathan-Irfan Pathan etc. The first season of the Women's Premier League has started. In this competition, too, we have a few examples of professionals from the same family playing in the competition. On that note, in this article, we take a look at two pairs of relations who are playing in WPL 2023.

1) Marizanne Kapp and Dane van Niekerk (Couple)

The South African duo is a part of the first edition of WPL. While Kapp will represent the Delhi Capitals, Dane will play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The duo has been a part of a few struggles in recent times but both have got a chance to play in the IPL and this will be a massive opportunity for them, especially Dane van Niekerk. While Marizanne Kapp is a sureshot inclusion in the playing XI for Delhi, Dane has to fight off competition from Heather Knight and Erin Burns to have a chance to play regularly.

2) Laura Harris and Grace Harris (Sisters)

The Harris siblings are one of the pairs of relations who are playing in WPL 2023. Grace Harris will play for the UP Warriorz while Laura will turn up for the Delhi Capitals. It will be interesting to witness the battle between the sisters on the cricket field. It needs to be seen how this battle would go about as the season progresses.
