While Rahul did not have a great tournament, Chahal started to have a turnaround in his career. Hence, Rahul was dropped and after that, the likes of Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav became the other leg-spinners that India got interested in. Hence, Rahul has been away from the squad since then.

2) Varun CV

Varun CV is one of the players who played in the 2021 T20 World Cup but are nowhere near Team India right now. It was due to his mystery element that Varun got a chance in the squad.
