2 teams against whom Virat Kohli has not scored a fifty in the IPL

Virat Kohli is the highest run-getter in the history of the Indian Premier League. Till now, he has scored 45 fifties and five centuries. However, there are a few teams against whom Virat has not gotten to the fifty mark. In this article, we take a look at two teams against whom Virat Kohli has not scored a fifty in the IPL.

1) Kochi Tuskers Kerala

In 2011, KTK and RCB took on each other on two occasions. While Virat scored 23 runs in the first game, in the return fixture, he remained unbeaten on 27 runs. RCB won both games. In the first encounter, Virat Kohli was out for LBW to Vinay Kumar. KTK then made an exit from the IPL and hence, Virat Kohli will forever have this record unachieved. 

2) Lucknow Super Giants

LSG is one of the teams against whom Virat Kohli has not scored a fifty in the IPL. As of the end of IPL 2022, Virat Kohli played twice against LSG. In the first game, he was out for a golden duck to Dushmantha Chameera while he was out to Avesh Khan in the second game, which also happened to be the eliminator of IPL 2022. Of course, Virat will get quite a few games to hit a fifty against LSG. However, LSG has a bowling attack that is not a favourable matchup for Virat Kohli. In recent times, Virat has struggled against spin, especially left-arm off-spin and fast wrist-spin. LSG has Krunal Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi, both of whom could trouble Virat. The likes of Deepak Hooda and K Gowtham could also trouble the player. Hence, it will be a hard task for him.
