India Head Coach T20 Leagues IPL

Although we have seen many Indian coaches in the IPL, we have hardly seen them feature in foreign T20 leagues. On the flip side, we have witnessed many coaches from other nations do well in the Indian Premier League. Nevertheless, a few Indian names have made their presence felt in some of the overseas leagues. In this article, we take a look at three Indians who have been Head Coach in foreign T20 Leagues.

1) Abhishek Nayar - Trinbago Knight Riders

Abhishek Nayar is currently the Head Coach of the Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL. The former Mumbai all-rounder has been with KKR for a long time now and after Brendon McCullum took over the English Test Team, there was a vacancy created at TKR and also in KKR. While Nayar has filled the role in TKR, Chandrakant Pandit has come on board in KKR.

2) Lalchand Rajput - Kandy Warriors and Winnipeg Hawks

Lalchand Rajput is one of the Indians who have been Head Coach in foreign T20 Leagues. The Mumbai-born coach has had stints at various levels in his career, so far. While he has been a Head Coach in IPL before, he has already been at the helm of affairs in Afghanistan and Zimbabwe. Coming to overseas T20 leagues, Lalchand Rajput has worked as a Head Coach in Global T20 Canada and also the Lankan Premier League.

3) Robin Singh - Barbados Tridents

Robin Singh is also a familiar name when it comes to Indian coaches. While he has been a Head Coach in IPL before for teams such as Deccan Chargers, he has also worked in CPL in the same role. At the moment, though, the former India cricketer is with the UAE Cricket Team. He is helping the team and with the International League T20 announced, his role could become more pronounced.
