3 batting all-rounders India can groom for the future

If there is one aspect that India needs to concentrate on will be to get overs from the top order and the middle order. It has been a few years since the team has had a player like that. In the past, almost every player could also roll his arm over. However, there is some talent in the country who can do that. In this article, we take a look at three batting all-rounders India can groom for the future.

1) Tilak Varma

Tilak Varma is one name that India must groom for a spot in the top order. The Hyderabad southpaw is a fine player and showed his skills in IPL 2022. He can also play in the middle order, which further proves his flexibility. Importantly, the Mumbai Indians cricketer can bowl off-spin and this is one aspect that could land him a chance in the Indian Team soon if he can be good at it.

2) Yashasvi Jaiswal

Jaiswal is also one of the batting all-rounders India can groom for the future. At the U19 level, Jaiswal was often seen bowling leg-spin. However, in domestic cricket, this has reduced. Having an opener bowl leg-spin is a luxury. If India wants to involve the Mumbai youngster in the future, the management must ask him to develop his bowling skills, too.

3) Sarfaraz Khan

Sarfaraz Khan also bowled a lot of leg-spin in his junior cricket. He was actually seen as an all-rounder back then. However, he bowls very less right now. While it appears that his ready with the bat for the highest stage, the team management must also try to extract some bowling out of him. It would also improve the player's chances of getting a spot in the XI.
