MI Cape Town did not have a great outing at the auctions and hence, they missed out on some fine local talent. To make amends, they could release a few top names before the next season. 1) Sam Curran

There were a lot of expectations from Sam Curran in SA20. However, both with the bat and the ball, the English all-rounder did not leave an impact. With the ball, his economy was close to 9 while with the willow, his highest score was just 22. Yes, he is a youngster and his form in the next few months could decide MI Cape Town's decision but at the moment, at least, he is likely to be released. 

2) Olly Stone

Olly Stone is one of the three players MI Cape Town might release before the next season of SA20. Olly Stone's economy was above 9 in the few games that he played. The player has anyways not been known for his exceptional skills in T20s. With Pakistani players likely to play in the next season, MI Cape Town will have more options and hence, Stone might be released.

3) Ryan Rickelton

Rickelton got quite a few chances but could not deliver for the outfit. Both his strike rate and average were poor. With this record, it is highly unlikely that MI Cape Town will keep the player.
