The 2021 T20 World Cup ended on a forgettable note for Team India. There were multiple changes after that event. While Rohit Sharma came in as the skipper, Rahul Dravid became the Head Coach. A few players made their debut for the country and within a year, they will represent the nation at the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia. On that note, in this article, we take a look at three players who were uncapped during the 2021 T20 WC but will play in the 2022 T20 World Cup.
1) Harshal Patel - T20I Debut in November 2021
Harshal Patel was a part of the team that helped the main squad to prepare for the 2021 T20 World Cup. A few days later, Harshal made his debut for the Indian Team. He was brilliant in the first few games. Later on, he had a couple of injury setbacks but he is now back in the Indian Team.
2) Deepak Hooda - T20I Debut in February 2022
Deepak Hooda is one of the players who were uncapped during the 2021 T20 WC but will play in the 2022 T20 World Cup. The Baroda man was initially chosen in the ODI squad but later became a part of the T20I setup. He even scored a century recently. Since he can also give a few overs with the ball, he has been selected for flexibility.
3) Arshdeep Singh - T20I Debut in July 2022
After a long wait, Arshdeep finally made his debut. It was an instant impact as he cemented his spot in the XI. Considering he is a left-arm option, it won't be a surprise if he gets a place in the XI ahead of the likes of Harshal.
