3 players who were with CSK in IPL 2022 but might debut in IPL 2023

Rajvardhan IPL 2023

Chennai Super Kings is one franchise that does not hand out caps easily. In the past, we have seen many youngsters wait a long time before they played for the franchise. However, that is changing now. CSK had a lot of debutantes last season. We can expect a few in IPL 2023, too. In this article, we take a look at three players who were with CSK in IPL 2022 but might debut in IPL 2023.

1) Rajvardhan Hangarkekar

Despite Deepak Chahar not being available, the Maharashtra cricketer could not play for CSK last season. Nevertheless, he has developed well in recent months and might get a chance to play for the franchise next season. While he does well with the new ball, he can also hit the long ball in the lower order. Hence, he would be a good fit for the team.

2) Subhranshu Senapati

Subhranshu Senapati is one of the players who were with CSK in IPL 2022 but might debut in IPL 2023. CSK scouted the big-hitter from Odisha but could not give him a chance in IPL 2022. However, with the new 'Impact Player' rule, we might see Senapati making his debut in IPL 2023. CSK needs to replace Ambati Rayudu in the future and this might be the right time to try out options.

3) K Bhagath Varma

Although released, CSK brought back the player at the recent auctions. CSK has two good right-arm off-spinners in Moeen Ali and Maheesh Theekshana but both are overseas cricketers. Hence, if the franchise needs to plan to change the combination, they can include someone like Bhagath in the playing XI.
