3 replacement players who might not get a game in IPL 2023

CSK replacement

IPL 2023 is seeing a lot of injuries. Hence, teams have been replacing their injured players. A few teams are yet to make announcements in this regard. Nevertheless, on that note, here, we take a look at three replacement players who might not get a game in IPL 2023.

1) Akash Singh (Chennai Super Kings) - Mukesh Choudhary

The former U19 pacer showed a lot of promise but has somehow dropped down in the pecking order. It is mainly due to his performances at the domestic level. CSK has domestic pacers in the form of Deepak Chahar, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Tushar Deshpande and Simarjeet Singh. Hence, it is doubtful that Akash Singh would get a game.

2) Sandeep Sharma (Rajasthan Royals) - Prasidh Krishna

Sandeep Sharma is one of the replacement players who might not get a game in IPL 2023. The absence of Prasidh Krishna is a big loss for RR. It seems that KM Asif would be the replacement for the playing XI. Kuldeep Sen would act as the backup. Since Sandeep Sharma specialises in new-ball bowling and RR already has quite a few options, the veteran may not get a game.

3) Gurnoor Sing Brar (Punjab Kings) - Raj Bawa

The young batter is Punjab Kings' replacement for Raj Bawa. Raj is a good prospect and it is unfortunate that he will miss out on a chance. However, PBKS has some good options for the domestic batting department and hence, Gurnoor may not get a chance.
