The 2022 T20 World Cup is happening at the moment. Usually, it is hard for sons to leave the impact left by their fathers. However, a few sons have done well despite carrying the pressure of a family member in the same spot. A few are also a part of the ongoing T20 WC. On that note, in this article, we take a look at three sons of former cricketers who are playing in the 2022 T20 World Cup.

1) Mitchell Marsh - Geoff Marsh

Mitchell Marsh is Australia's No.3 and is an important player for his nation. In the UAE last year, Marsh played a blinder in the finals of the competition which helped Australia lift the trophy. While he offers aggressive intent at No.3, Marsh is also a decent bowler, although he does not bowl often due to injury issues.

2) Sam Curran - Kevin Curran

Sam Curran is one of the sons of former cricketers who are playing in the 2022 T20 World Cup. The English all-rounder is the son of Kevin Curran, who played 11 ODIs for Zimbabwe. Sam Curran has an important role in the English line-up. He is a bowling all-rounder and renders solid balance to the XI. He recently took a five-wicket haul. Curran can also be used as a floater in the batting department if required.

3) Bas de Leede - Tim de Leede

Tim de Leede was part of the Netherlands squad when it played its first ODI against India in 2003. Incidentally, his son Bas de Leede was part of the squad that played its first T20I against India. Bas de Leede is a batting all-rounder and has a bright future ahead of him.
