4 domestic uncapped players who could earn more than INR 5 Cr at IPL 2023 Auctions
IPL 2023 Auctions will happen on December 23rd in Kochi. Although it is a mini-auction, a few teams would target a few players for their starting XI. In this article, we take a look at four domestic uncapped players who could earn more than INR 5 Cr at IPL 2023 Auctions.
In the mega-auctions, the focus was on players who would walk straight into the XI. However, the strategy will be to fill gaps in the XI at the upcoming auctions. Hence, if a player's profile suits the combination, teams could go all the way for the cricketer.
1) N Jagadeesan
Former CSK batter N Jagadeesan is in hot form at the moment in domestic cricket. Although the format is different, Jagadeesan's current form might attract a few bids. Moreover, since he is a wicketkeeper and is quite flexible across the batting line-up, there would be a few teams willing to get into a bidding war for the cricketer. Hence, he is a part of this list.
2) Sanvir Singh
Sanvir Singh is one of the domestic uncapped players who could earn more than INR 5 Cr at IPL 2023 Auctions. The young all-rounder from Punjab is a big hitter in the lower middle-order and add to this, he is a genuine medium-pace bowler. In the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Sanvir was in good form. Teams would always be interested in pace-bowling domestic all-rounders. Therefore, since he has a high potential, Sanvir Singh could go for big bucks.
3) Prerak Mankad
Similar to Sanvir, Prerak Mankad is also one of the players who belong to the rare category of domestic pace-bowling all-rounders. Moreover, Prerak is experienced in domestic cricket and this further adds value to his case, Surprisingly, Punjab Kings released the player to the auctions. He is one cricketer who could have fit the profile that the team wanted. Anyways, there is likely to be a lot of suitors for the cricketer at the upcoming bidding event.
4) Shivam Mavi
Shivam Mavi is also one of the domestic uncapped players who could earn more than INR 5 Cr at IPL 2023 Auctions. The Uttar Pradesh cricketer went for over INR 5 Cr in the previous auctions, too. Although his performance was not great, we could see teams still going for him. With the new 'Impact Player' rule, it may not be a surprise if teams straightaway bowl four overs from a good powerplay bowler. Mavi can be dangerous at the start with the ball and therefore, he finds a place here.
