When it comes to longevity in the IPL, Virat Kohli stands at the top of the list. No one has played for one franchise longer than Virat Kohli in IPL. A few players who were once his teammates are even in administration now. On that note, in this article, we take a look at four players you may not know who once played along with Virat Kohli in the same IPL XI.

Back then, Virat Kohli was just starting out at the senior level. He had led India to a victory in the U19 World Cup and was on the fringes of the Indian Team. Amidst this, he had the experience of learning from some of the greats of the game. That shaped his career for him to become one of the best cricketers that the game has seen.

1) Sunil Joshi

Sunil Joshi is one of the players you may not know who played along with Virat Kohli in the same IPL XI. Having played for a lot of years for Karnataka, Sunil Joshi also represented India. A traditional left-arm spinner, Joshi was also known for his contributions in the tail end as a batter, especially in the Ranji Trophy. In the first few seasons of IPL, Joshi played for RCB and Virat Kohli was also in the XI. Joshi later also had a stint as the Chief Selector of Team India.

2) Wasim Jaffer

While Jaffer is known as one of the best domestic batters that India has seen in the longer format, he did not enjoy a great T20 career. Nevertheless, he did get a chance to play in the IPL. He represented RCB and Virat Kohli was also a part of the playing XI in a few matches.

3) Mohammed Kaif

Mohammed Kaif is also one of the players you may not know who played along with Virat Kohli in the same IPL XI. While he enjoyed a good stint in the lower middle order of the Indian ODI Team, Kaif was never considered for the T20Is. In IPL, as well, Kaif's career did not rise. For the second cycle of IPL in 2011, Kaif joined RCB. Virat was the only player retained by RCB and hence, he played with Kaif.

4) Eoin Morgan

Not many remember but Morgan's first IPL franchise is RCB. It was in 2010 that RCB signed the English cricketer. Morgan played a total of 6 games for RCB and, of course, Virat was part of these matches. Hence, he is also a part of this list.
