IPL 2023 Auctions will happen on December 23rd in Kochi. A few cricketers who did not enjoy the previous auctions could have a good time at the upcoming bidding event. In this article, we take a look at five players unsold in IPL 2022 Auctions but might get sold in IPL 2023 Auctions.

It is common for players to impress while playing for their nations or domestic teams and then go on to earn an IPL contract. Their situation might not have been similar a year ago. A few cricketers could go sold on December 23rd although they did not find any bidders in the last auctions.

1) Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib Al Hasan is one of the players unsold in IPL 2022 Auctions but might get sold in IPL 2023 Auctions. The Bangladesh all-rounder did not find any takers last season because there were question marks about his availability. However, this time around, he is certain to take part. Hence, considering the experience he has got and the balance he brings to the XI, Shakib might find a buyer at IPL 2023 Auctions. Teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad could be interested in his services.

2) Adam Zampa

Adam Zampa is a wily leg-spinner who has been doing well in the last few years. Teams like SRH need a regular leg-spinner and hence, they could target someone like Adil Rashid or Adam Zampa. The player could also come cheap at the auctions.

3) Saurabh Kumar

Saurabh Kumar is also one of the players unsold in IPL 2022 Auctions but might get sold in IPL 2023 Auctions. The Uttar Pradesh bowling all-rounder is close to making his India Test debut. A few teams would want to have a traditional left-arm spinner in the squad. Hence, they could target the player.

4) Reece Topley

Reece Topley has been doing well for England in the last year or so. He adds a lot of value in the powerplay with his left arm pace. He can move the ball and trouble the batters often. Such players are very much needed in the current T20 XIs. Therefore, he might land a contract this time around.

5) David Wiese

David Wiese is also one of the players unsold in IPL 2022 Auctions but might get sold in IPL 2023 Auctions. Although he is old, for a one-year-deal, David Wiese can be backed purely due to his experience and his all-round abilities. Teams like Delhi Capitals and KKR could be interested in his services.
