Players dropped after 1 game

IPL 2022 has been one of the most entertaining seasons so far in the history of the competition. Thanks to the introduction of two new teams, a lot of new players have got their chances this season. However, a few players have been unable to leave an impression. For a few of them, their chances have ended at just one game this season. In this article, we take a look at 5 players who were dropped after just one game so far in IPL 2022.

In the first few games, teams usually try to find out a settled combination. Since a few foreign players came a little late, the teams took longer to freeze their playing XI this season. Hence, a few players did not get sufficient chances to showcase their skills. We take a look at five of them in this article:

1) Devon Conway - Chennai Super Kings

Devon Conway is one of the players who were dropped after just one game so far in IPL 2022. The Kiwi opener was seen as the replacement for Faf du Plessis for CSK at the top of the order. However, the southpaw just got one game. This had to do with the ruling out of Deepak Chahar. The team had to strengthen the bowling and hence, they used an extra foreigner in that department. Robin Uthappa has been the opener since then and he has done a good job.

2) Fabian Allen - Mumbai Indians

After a long time, Fabian Allen got a chance in the playing XI for Mumbai. However, it lasted only for one game. It is surprising that MI has not backed him. He is a quality cricketer and deserved a few more games in the playing XI. Ramandeep Singh is another cricketer from MI who has suffered the same fate.

3) James Neesham - Rajasthan Royals

Kiwi all-rounder James Neesham is one of the players who were dropped after just one game so far in IPL 2022. Rajasthan Royals has been trying to set right the balance of the XI. In this attempt, they had used Neesham for a game when Boult was missing. However, he was dropped for the next encounter.

4) Kamlesh Nagarkoti - Delhi Capitals

Kamlesh Nagarkoti played the first game for DC in IPL 2022. After Mustafizur Rahman was available, Kamlesh was sidelined from the XI. Since then, the youngster is yet to get a game. It may not be a surprise if that remains the same because Chetan Sakariya is also on the bench.

5) Aman Hakim Khan - Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR has had to use many options in the pace department after the poor form of Shivam Mavi. Aman Khan is one player whom they made use of. However, it lasted only for one game. The Mumbai cricketer will want a few more games to show his skills.
