5 teams that can target Sreesanth in IPL 2021 Auction
IPL 2021 will happen soon and the BCCI has clarified that there will be a mini auction before the season. The teams will not have to release the majority of their players. They can retain as many players as they want and release a few under-performers.
Fast bowlers have always been a hot commodity in T20 cricket. The IPL franchises also invest a lot in pace bowlers as KKR proved by buying Pat Cummins last year. Indian fast bowler Sreesanth will make his return to domestic cricket soon.
The Kerala-based fast bowler has mentioned that a few IPL franchises have contacted him to be available for the season. Here are the five franchises that can sign Sreesanth in IPL 2021 Auction.
#5 Sunrisers Hyderabad

The Sunrisers Hyderabad received a major setback ahead of IPL 2021 as their premier fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar was ruled out for six months. Kumar will likely miss IPL 2021 because of his injury.
Thus, the Orange Army can go after Sreesanth in the IPL Auction 2021. Sreesanth could form a terrific combination with T Natarajan, Siddarth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma, Basil Thampi, Billy Stanlake, and Jason Holder in the SRH lineup.
#4 Royal Challengers Bangalore

The Royal Challengers Bangalore have also lost a top fast bowler before IPL 2021. South African speedster Dale Steyn has clarified that he wishes to take a break from cricket. Thus, he will not play for the Bangalore-based franchise in IPL 2021.
Steyn was a vital part of the fast-bowling lineup. His experience helped Navdeep Saini and Mohammed Siraj in the RCB camp. Sreesanth could fulfil Steynโs role in the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has the experience and aggression to trouble the opposition batsmen.
#3 Chennai Super Kings

The Chennai Super Kings need an Indian fast bowler who can bowl with Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur in the fast bowling attack. Sreesanth could be a fantastic addition to the squad.
The Super Kings will likely go for Dawid Malan in the auction. So, it will be better if they sign an experienced Indian fast bowler in Sreesanth. The reason behind that is Sreesanth qualifies as an Indian player, which will help CSK play Malan, Faf du Plessis, Imran Tahir, and Sam Curran in the playing XI.
#2 Rajasthan Royals

The Rajasthan Royals had a top-quality foreign pacer in Jofra Archer. However, the likes of Varun Aaron, Jaydev Unadkat, and Ankit Rajpoot could not support him to perfection.
The Royals could sign their former fast bowler Sreesanth to bolster their pace bowling attack. The combination of Sreesanth and Jofra Archer could give nightmares to the opposition batsmen.

The Kings XI Punjab have hinted that they might let go of Sheldon Cottrell before the auction. So, they will need a pacer who could play with Mohammed Shami and Chris Jordan.
Sreesanth can form a decent combination with them. If the management wants, they can even give Arshdeep Singh an opportunity instead of Jordan and include an overseas batsman in the lineup. Sreesanth has played for KXIP in the past as well.
