"About Rohit, we will.."- KL Rahul sheds light on Rohit Sharma's availability in 2nd Test vs BAN
The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma missed the first test against Bangladesh at Chattogram due to the thumb injury he sustained in the second ODI last week. He went back to Mumbai to consult the specialist. However, he is completely fit to go now.

Some media reports also confirmed that Rohit is likely to join the squad for the second test, which will start on Thursday. Meanwhile, stand-in captain KL Rahul led Team India in the absence of Rohit in the first test.

India registered a big win of 188 runs in the first test against Bangladesh at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. After the game, Rahul also shared an update about Rohit's availability for the second game. However, the BCCI named India "A" star Abhimanyu Easwaran as Rohit's replacement for the first test.

In the post-match conference, Rahul said that the team will get a clear update in the next day or two on whether Rohit will be fit enough to go or not. The second test will start on December 22 in Mirpur.

Rahul said, "About Rohit, we will get to know in the next day or two. I am not even aware of it. The focus was completely on the Test match."

Despite Rohit's absence from the first test, India didn't miss him much with the bat. Young opener Shubman Gill replaced him as an opener in the team and did incredibly well with the bat. He scored 20 and 110 in both innings of the game.

And if the Indian captain is back for the second game, it will be a big question as to who will make way for him. On the other hand, Rahul looked rusty with the bat and scored 22 and 20 in the first two innings of the game.

Meanwhile, the win against Bangladesh has certainly boosted the Indian team's chances for the World Test Championship final qualification. They have jumped to the second spot on the WTC table, and another win in the second game will help them inch closer to the WTC final.
