Australia has announced its 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 to be played in Australia itself. Singapore's hard-hitting batsman Tim David has also found a place in the team after his performance in the T20 leagues around the world.

David, who has played international cricket for Singapore, was being discussed for a long time to be included in the Australian team. David plays in T20 leagues around the world and has shown that he has a lot of power for T20 cricket.

In terms of Australia's squad, not many changes have been made to the team that became world champions in the UAE last year and only Mitchell Swepson has been dropped.

The squad that Australia has announced for the World Cup, the same team is also going to tour India. After coming back, they will also play matches against England, West Indies and India just before the World Cup.

26-year-old David has played 14 T20 Internationals for Singapore. During this, he has scored 558 runs at an average of 46.50 which includes four half-centuries. David has experience of 122 matches in T20 cricket.

He has scored 2640 runs in his career with an average of 32.19 and he has scored 11 half-centuries. Tim David's strike-rate in T20 is above 160. Apart from batting smoky, he also bowls off-spin and has taken 12 wickets in his career so far. David is known to play big shots from the very first ball and Australia can have the advantage of getting him in the team.

Just like the previous edition, Aaron Finch will be the captain of the team. David Warner is going to be his opening partner while Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc will be the lead bowlers for Australia.

The middle-order consists of hard-hitting batsman like Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Marsh and Matthew Wade alongside Tim David.
