South Africa to tour India for 5 T20Is after IPL 2022; BCCI announces schedule and venue
The Indian schedule is always jam-packed. And with two ICC World Cups coming in the next two years, it means more series and more cricket for the Indian players in order to prepare for the mega-event. The T20I World Cup will be played in the months of September and October in Australia. The ODI World Cup 2023 will be hosted by India next year.
The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League is underway, and all the Indian players are associated with the cash-rich league, playing for their respective franchises. The IPL started on March 26 and the final will be played on May 29. But after one week, India will host a T20I home series with South Africa.

As per the press release, both teams will play five T20 international matches. The first match of the series will be played in Delhi on June 1. It will be followed by the venues: Cuttack, Vizag, Rajkot, and Bengaluru. The final match will be played on June 19 at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
However, it is yet to be confirmed whether spectators will be allowed or if it will be organised behind closed doors. But it will be an important series for both teams in order to prepare for the upcoming T20I World Cup. After the series, India will fly to the UK for the white-ball series and the one-off Test that was postponed last year.
