"Believe, Live in Present...."- Mohammad Rizwan shares insightful gameplan after first Test win vs Sri Lanka

Pakistan best Srilanka

Mohammad Rizwan, the wicketkeeper-batsman for Pakistan, tweeted an interesting image inside the team's dressing room following their outstanding four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka on Wednesday in Galle.

Pakistan chased down 342 runs while Abdullah Shafique scored an undefeated century. Shafique and Babar Azam put up a 101-run partnership to bolster the innings after being down to 104/2. Before the Galle Test began, Shafique had only played five Tests. He finished the match unbeaten on 160 to lead the team home.

With this victory, Pakistan has moved up to third place in the World Test Championship standings, improving their prospects of competing in the championship game the following year. They have a 58.33 win-loss ratio. With a century and a fifty, Babar led the team from the front and said that because they are skilled spin bowlers, they were confident in being able to reach the target.

Rizwan posted their team's Day 3 game plan on Twitter following the stunning victory. In that tweet image it was written as Believe, Live in Present Moment and Positive Intent, We will create History. Looks like it was their game plan to win this test match against Sri Lanka. He also expressed gratitude to the support crew for having faith in the group.

The second test against Sri Lanka will start from 24th July in Galle. Sri Lanka will look to stop high flying Pakistan as it will be a must win game for Sri Lanka to level up the series. Meanwhile Babar and his men will be full of confidence as they look to sweep the series with a win.

After this series against Sri Lanka, the Pakistan cricket team will travel to Netherlands for their rescheduled ODI series. It will be a useful series for Pakistan team as they look to gain some momentum going into the Asia Cup 2022.
