Deep Dasgupta picks Team India's Playing XI for T20WC 2022 after Asia Cup 2022 match against Pakistan
In the second match of the Asia Cup 2022 tournament, India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets. All the Indian players performed well in the match. There are also some players who have returned to the Indian team in the T20 format and thus the selection for the T20 World Cup is nothing less than a headache now.
T20 World Cup 2022 is to be played in October this year in Australia. All the fans are eagerly waiting for the tournament after India were knocked-out of the group stages the last time. With this, many experts and fans believe that the Indian management will not make any changes in the playing XI of both the tournaments (Asia Cup and World Cup T20).
Former India cricketer Deep Dasgupta has predicted the starting XI of the Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2022 to be played in Australia.
Deep Dasgupta had predicted the starting XI on Crictracker's show 'Run Ki Ranneeti' ahead of the India vs Pakistan match. He believed that Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul would open for India. Virat Kohli will come to bat at number three. For the middle order, he named Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant, along with Ravindra Jadeja at number 7.
Meanwhile during India vs Pakistan match, two decisions from the Indian management were surprising. The first is to include Dinesh Karthik in the playing XI in place of Rishabh Pant and the second is to play three fast bowlers in place of three spinners. Deep Dasgupta was hopeful that Ravi Bishnoi should have got a chance along with Chahal and Jadeja but the Indian team named Avesh Khan in the playing XI.
Dasgupta believes that India is building a strong team for the upcoming T20 World Cup. According to him, India will not make any changes in their XI for this tournament. According to him, the management is trying to give maximum opportunities to its main players so that they can perform well in big matches and as thus, he sticks with the same XI he picked before India vs Pakistan match.
