Dwayne Bravo surpasses Malinga to become the highest wicket-taker in IPL

The seventh match between Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants was a high-scoring thriller. It had everything as a fan you could imagine; boundaries, sixes, wickets, drama, and at the end, LSG, we were smart enough to finish the game. Lucknow won the match by 6 wickets in the very last over. Overall, bowlers from both sides didn't have a great match because batsmen smashed the ball to all parts of the ground.

Over 420 runs were scored in less than 40 overs. But there was one record that got broken in the match. And it was none other than West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo who achieved the feat of becoming the highest-ever wicket-taker in the history of the Indian Premier League.

Earlier, before the match, he was qualled with Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga at 170 wickets a piece. But Bravo broke his record in the 18th over of the second innings when he dismissed Deepak Hooda. The CSK all-rounder now has 171 wickets in the IPL in 153 matches. Malinga had 170 wickets in just 122 matches.

He began his career with the Mumbai Indians, where he played from 2008 to 2010. He has been an important member of the Yellow Army since then. During the Chennai Super Kings' suspension, he also played two seasons for the Rising Pune Giants in 2016 and 2017. Arguably he one of the greatest IPL bowler for CSK. He also won the "Purple Cap" in 2013 and 2014 while playing for CSK.
