Faf du Plessis, Rashid Khan, Andre Russell headlines overseas players list for BBL 2022-2023 Draft
The draft process has started for Australia's major domestic franchise league Big Bash League (BBL), where the list of foreign players has been revealed by the committee. Veteran New Zealand pacer Trent Boult, Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan, West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell, and England opener Jason Roy are among the Platinum players for the BBL overseas draft.
There are a total of 12 Platinum players for the upcoming BBL 2022-2023. The list of total 12 platinum players for the Big Bash League (BBL) overseas draft is as follows:
South African batting superstar Faf du Plessis, England's Jason Roy, Liam Livingstone and Sam Billings, West Indies all-rounders Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell , England bowlers David Willey and Chris Jordan, Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan, Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan, and New Zealand pacer Trent Boult.
List of Platinum players Sam Billings (Sydney Thunder), Andre Russell (Melbourne Stars), Shadab Khan (Sydney Sixers), Chris Jordan (Sydney Sixers), and Rashid Khan (Adelaide Strikers) played in the BBL last season are all available for retention by the respective franchises.

On the other hand, a total of 26 players are eligible for retention, including James Vince (Sydney Sixers), Alex Hales (Sydney Thunder) and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (Brisbane Heat), are likely to make it to the gold category. However, these players can decide which category they want to enroll themselves in.
Let us tell you, Platinum players will be paid AU$340,000 (approximately US $233,853), regardless of the number of matches they are available for in BBL 2022-2023 season.
