Former Indian cricketer says captain Virat Kohli was the main reason behind Yuzvendra Chahal's success for India

Former Indian cricketer L Sivaramakrishnan has given a big response regarding Yuzvendra Chahal and his recent performance. He has said that Chahal's career graph progressed due to the captaincy of Virat Kohli.

According to Sivaramakrishnan, Chahal used to play under Kohli's captaincy in the IPL as well and that is why Virat Kohli was very well aware of his mindset.

If we talk about Yuzvendra Chahal, then at one time he was the most prominent spinner for the Indian cricket team. Because of his wicket-taking ability, he was played in every single match. His pairing with Kuldeep Yadav was quite popular as well.

However, for some time now Chahal has not been able to perform the kind of performance for which he was known. His performance in the New Zealand series was also not good and for this reason a lot of questions are being raised on him and he is also being criticized.

According to L Sivaramakrishnan, teams now come up with a specific plan against Chahal and read him very well. In a conversation with Sportskeeda, he said, "Yuzvendra Chahal's career graph had progressed rapidly in the beginning because Virat Kohli was the captain of India at that time as well as the captain of RCB. He used to read Chahal's mindset very well."

"However, the testing part of a player comes when the opposing teams analyze him. In T20Is, the chances of a batsman getting out are more as he tries to hit continuously but in a 50-over game, batsmen have time and they increase the run rate in the last 10 overs," further added the former Indian cricketer.
