On their comeback to international competition on Thursday, Team India was defeated by South Africa by seven wickets in the first of five Twenty20 Internationals. India, headed by Rishabh Pant, failed to defend a 212-run target at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, as Rassie van der Dussen and David Miller hammered the bowlers all over the field.

In this match Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya and RCB’s explosive batsman Dinesh Karthik made a comeback into the Indian side and Hardik played a crucial knock of 31 off 12 balls to take India to mammoth score of 211.

After their defeat to the Proteas, Gautam Gambhir was asked whether he needs to see any changes in the current indian squad and he said he wants india to go with the same playing 11 but he said he expected Deepak Hooda in the position of Dinesh Karthik.

Gambhir said that You'll continue with Dinesh Karthik now that you've played him. With his current form, I believe you could have played Deepak Hooda. In addition, he is a youngster. But, unless the wicket is exceptionally dry, I don't think any changes are required in the upcoming matches.

He also said that if the wickets are dry then Ravi Bishnoi can play instead of a fast bowler and Pandya will fill in as a third pacer in the side and Yuzi Chahal, Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Pater as your three spinners.

India will play the second T20 International against South Africa at Cuttack on 12th June. As Gautam Gambhir mentioned India will most probably go in with the same playing 11 on Sunday if the conditions are similar. Umran Malik is heavily expected by all people around the world but it will be harsh on Avesh Khan. Same Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan may open the innings for India.
