After disastrous results in first two matches of this series, India made a comeback in the third and fourth T20I forcing the series to the decider match at Chinnaswamy. One of the main contributors with the bat for team India is Ishan Kishan. Since Ruturaj is an anchor player for the innings, Ishan Kishan has to take some risk at the top to get India a good start in the powerplay.

Former South Africa captain Graeme Smith believes Ishan Kishan is a favorite for India's T20 World Cup selection in 2022. With two half-centuries to his record in the ongoing five-T20I series against South Africa, Kishan has been in excellent form. With 207 runs in four games and a strike rate of 146.92, Ishan Kishan is the leading run getter in this series.

Greame Smith said, “He’s putting his hand up, and he’s applying a lot of pressure on the selectors, the captains, the coaches.” He also said that there is Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. It will be hard for Ishan Kishan to get a chance but he said he’s giving his best here.

With India’s combination for the World Cup is not known, we have to wait and see, he added.

Kishan's amazing batting and the fact that he is a pure keeper have solidified his place in the Indian team's selection for the forthcoming T20 World Cup 2022, placing pressure on the selectors and captain, especially after Rishabh Pant's bat failure.

India will take on the inform Pakistan team in their opening fixture in the T20 World Cup at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). It will be a great match for both sets of fans. But looking at the current form, Pakistan will start as favorites. Pakistan Skipper Babar Azam is in flying form, he is well supported by his bowlers whereas for team India Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya looks settled in the side.
