Former Indian cricket team and Mumbai Indians' cricketer Harbhajan Singh named the successor at Mumbai Indians to Rohit Sharma as the franchise's next captain in the future editions of the IPL.

Mumbai Indians, the most successful franchise in the long history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), is currently enduring the worst ever season for them as they finds themselves at the rock-bottom in the IPL 2022 League Table.

Mumbai Indians got off to the worst possible start for them, creating an unwanted record in the process when they lost 8 straight matches in the IPL 2022, the only to do so in the history of the competition.

Captain Rohit Sharma has also looked out of form, not really being able to contribute the way he had been contributing for the team. That led to people even question the batter's future as Mumbai's captain.

With Rohit Sharma now aged 34-years-old, Mumbai Indians would also be looking forward to having a long term plan for their next captain. The headache for which, was made easy by the former Mumbai player Harbhajan Singh.

After Mumbai Indians' win over the Chennai Super Kings last night, Harbhajan Singh believes that young batsman Tilak Verma is Mumbai's long term captain.

While speaking on a broadcast on Star Sports, Harbhajan Singh believes that Tilak Verma has a great future ahead and could be Mumbai's next captain as well.

Tilak played a match winning knock of 34 runs from 32 balls on a pitch, where batting was really not easy, a proof which is when CSK got all out for the score 97 runs in that match.
