"He has been the outstanding face of the league" - BCCI President Sourav Ganguly named a potential Future Star for India

For multiple reasons, the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League has proved to be one of the best seasons so far. Two new teams have joined, which has made it more competitive. The batting performances of a number of batters have set the IPL on fire and some bowlers have changed the dynamic of the game this season. The most important aspect, however, is that this season, some of the young have come to the big stage and performed like professionals.

RR opener Jos Buttler and KL Rahul showed why they are rated highly in international cricket. The pair "Kul-Cha" have once again shown their class. But one thing that stands apart is the sheer pace of SRH pacer, Umran Malik. He has impressed everyone that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President, Sourav Ganguly, can't stop himself from praising the 23-year-old pacer.

Umran is the fastest bowler in the IPL and is consistently hitting a speed of over 150 km/h. During an interaction with News18, Ganguly praised a few players and spoke about the ongoing season of the IPL. He said that he is watching the IPL and that it is getting very interesting with every game. Speaking about the two new teams, he said that Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are doing a great job in their debut seasons.
In particular, he lauded SRH pacer Umran Malik. He said the 23-year-old pacer has been eye-catching and has impressed everyone. Ganguly also stated that Umesh Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed are two pacers who have done an exceptional job. However, he concluded, "I would say Umran Malik has been the outstanding face of the league so far."
The SRH pacer is doing a great job and is one of the highest wicket-takers this season. He was excellent against GT in the last match, when he bagged a five-wicket haul. Umran registered a figure of 5/25 and was named "Man of the Match."
Earlier, the pacer also opened up about his performance in an interaction with NDTV. He said that speed comes naturally to me and that this season is more focused on the line. The SRH pacer concluded that he wants to make Jammu and Kashmir and his country proud.
