"He is the joker in the pack" - Aakash Chopra names Gujarat Titans' X-Factor for Qualifier 1

Former Team India cricketer Aakash Chopra believes that Wriddhiman Saha can prove to be a game-changer for Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2022 Qualifier 1 against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Saha has scored 312 runs in nine matches played for Titans in IPL 2022 at an impressive average of 39.00. Because of Saha, the Gujarat Titans has got a good start in almost every match this season.

However, the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman had to miss the last match of the league phase due to a hamstring injury. However, fans would expect Saha to be fully fit before the first qualifier match. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has said a lot about Wriddhiman Saha.

In a video of his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said, "Wriddhiman Saha is in good form. He knows this ground. You will expect from him but it will not be easy to score runs if the ball swings a lot."

"I think he has punched above his weight. He is that joker in the pack, which means surprise package, who can change everything," Chopra added.

The former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) player has attributed the success of Gujarat Titans to Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya. He added that both Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya have to score runs if Hardik led Gujarat have to win the match. He further added that if one of the two gets dismissed early, then the chances will be reduced and if both gets dismissed soon enough, then almost likely that the team team will be put into backfoot.

Gujarat Titan's next match will now be against Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on 24th May. The match will be played at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. After the end of the league phase, Gujarat finished at the number one position in the points table.
