Here is the reason why BCCI schedules most of the England and West Indies tours together

Team India is slated to take on West Indies in a limited-overs tour from July. This series will succeed the recent tour of England. If you take a look at India's assignments away from home in recent years, we can notice a pattern. On most occasions, the tours to England and West Indies are held adjacent to each other. In this article, we take a look at the reason why BCCI schedules most of the England and West Indies tours together.
Logical reason by BCCI
Be it after the 2019 World Cup in England, in 2013 and even this year, too, India has either travelled from England to West Indies or vice versa. The reason for this is very simple. BCCI keeps in mind the long travel to West Indies if is a standalone tour. Hence, whenever possible, the tour to the Caribbean Islands is clubbed with that of an England tour so that the team can have a shorter flying time. This is really helpful, especially because of the difficult schedule for the cricketers.
Today I learnt that India’s tour of West Indies is usually planned after an English tour. To save flight time for players. Or else it’s 20 hrs. Cricket action resumes on 22nd :) #IndvWI @fancode

India to take on West Indies in a limited-overs tour
Meanwhile, Team India will have an important tour of the West Indies. While the T20I series will determine the primary contenders for the 2022 T20 World Cup, the ODI competition will also be a test for a few players, keeping in mind the 2023 World Cup in India. Most seniors have been rested for the ODIs and for the T20Is, the likes of Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will be absent. Hence, it will be a good opportunity for some of the youngsters to make a case for themselves.
