Here's why Shimron Hetmyer has left the RR camp to fly back to Guyana
Rajasthan Royals locked horns with Punjab Kings on Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium, and that match ended with a thrilling finish. The game went to the very last over and, in the end, it was RR who held their nerve to seal the victory and took two vital points to inch closer to securing a place in the top four.

Chasing the target of 190, the RR openers provided the team a really good start, but in the end, Rajasthan lost a few wickets and looked in trouble. But then came the match-winning cameo from Shimron Hetmyer that totally turned the match in RR's favour and won the match for the team.

Hetmyer scored 31* off just 16 balls, including three boundaries and two maximums. The left-hander hit a six in the last over to level the score. However, on Sunday morning, the franchise shared a video featuring the left-hander, informing fans about his leaving the camp. Hetmyer has left Mumbai to fly back to Guyana.

The franchise tweeted the video, quoting that the left-hander had gone back to Guyana for the birth of his first child. However, it also mentioned that he would be joining the team soon. Hetmyer, who is also seen hugging his teammates in the video, says that it is a special emergency but don't miss him too much.

It is not just the last night against PBKS. The left-hander has become a prominent force down the order for the Rajasthan Royals this season. He has scored 291 runs in 11 innings at an incredible average of 72.76.

Sanju Samson and his team registered their seventh win of the season yesterday and need one more win to qualify for the playoffs. They have three more league games left to do so. RR will lock horns next with Delhi Capitals on Wednesday at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
