Sehwag has named opener Ruturaj Gaikwad as the one who has the quality of being a good captain. During an interaction with Cricbuzz, the former opener pointed out that the 25-year-old has also captained Maharashtra and has a very calm head.

He said that he doesn't show much emotion whether he scores a century or gets out on zero. That shows how calm he is and how he has control of his emotions.

Speaking further, he said that all these qualities could make him a good option to lead the team because he is currently leading his domestic team and knows how to make decisions. Sehwag added, "If he plays 3-4 more seasons, he will become a captain who can become a long-term captain after MS Dhoni."

The former opener also spoke on the similarity between Gaikwad and Dhoni. He said that MS is also calm and takes his decisions and knows how to use his bowlers and batters, which makes him a great captain, and the luck factor is also on his side.

However, he also spoke about Gaikwad. He said that he also had the same qualities, but one thing which is not their that is luck.
