David Miller names 2 Gujarat Titans players Team India should pick for South Africa T20I series
The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League has reached its final stage and we are just nine days away from the grand final of the TATA IPL 2022. Both the new franchises, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants, have qualified for the playoffs and are more likely to face each other in the qualifier 1.
However, just a week after the IPL, India will host the Proteas for a five-match T20I series, starting on June 9 in New Delhi. The second match will be played on June 12 (Cuttack), third on June 14 (Visakhapatnam), fourth on June 17 (Rajkot) and the final match will be played on June 19 (Bengaluru).
The veteran South African and Gujarat Titans batter, David Miller, who is part of the South African squad, is looking forward to the challenge in the series. In fact, he has also named two of his GT teammates to be part of the Indian team for the T20I series.
Miller has named GT opener Shubman Gill and all-rounder Rahul Tewatia as the players he wants to face in the series. He also suggested the name of SRH pace machine, Umran Malik, to be in the Indian team. The left-hander is currently engaged with the team for preparation for the playoffs.

South Africa have announced their strong 16-member squad for the T20I series and Temba Bavuma will be leading the team. Notably, this is the first time since the T20 World Cup in the UAE that South Africa will be playing a T20 series. This series is regarded as part of the preparation for the upcoming World Cup in Australia.
Tristan Stubbs, who is part of the five-time champion Mumbai Indians, has got his maiden call after his consistent performance on the domestic and "A" tour. Interestingly, CSA has recalled all-rounder Wayne Parnell to the squad after five years. The likes of Quinton de Kock, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, Dwaine Pretorius, Kagiso Rabada, Rassie van der Dussen, and Marco Jansen, who are playing in the IPL, are also with the team.
The first qualifier will be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on May 24, while the final of the IPL will be played on the biggest cricket ground, Narender Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 29.
