"I have not seen better innings than this" - Virat Kohli heaped praise on Rajat Patidar after RCB won against LSG

The Eliminator between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants produced one hidden gem for Faf du Plessis and his team. Rajat Patidar just changed the whole scenario of the match in favour of RCB against LSG. He played one of the best innings ever in the playoff stage.

The 28-year-old played an unbeaten 112-run knock to win the game for RCB. With this win, Bangalore has now moved to Qualifier 2, where they will face RR. It means they are just two wins away from their maiden IPL title. They will take on RR on Friday, May 27 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Former RCB skipper, Virat Kohli, also praised the youngster who joined the team as a replacement. During the post-match show, Kohli said, ""I have seen many impact innings and many innings under pressure over so many years, but I have not seen better than how Rajat played today."

He added that the pressure was very high and the tension in the air because it was a must-win game for the team. So he said that the innings by the youngster was definitely one of the best in the IPL and, as a cricketer, you should appreciate him. Patidar added 92 runs with Dinesh Karthik to take them over the 200-run mark.

The former RCB skipper added, "There were a few tense moments. Obviously it was a big game, but I think our bowlers held their nerve very well." Virat further said that they are really excited about going to Ahmedabad to take on Rajasthan.

Both teams will now lock horns in the Qualifier 2 and whoever wins will advance to the final to play against the Gujarat Titans on May 29. RR has not won the IPL trophy since the inaugural season and RCB have yet to get their hands on the title.
