"I don't know what's going on" - Sourav Ganguly reacts to the form of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma

The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League has given a chance to many players to use their form to full effect and those who are out of form to regain it. But two modern greats of Indian cricket, who are the backbone of Indian batting across the format, are struggling to score runs. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are going through a horrible season of the IPL. And that is a big concern for the Men in Blue for the coming international cricket.

Both players are going through a lean patch and neither of them has been able to cross the 50-run mark this season. Rohit is struggling to convert his starts into a significant score. On the other hand, Virat has a string of low scores this season, including two consecutive golden ducks. Despite that, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has shown faith in the former Indian skipper. He believes that both are experienced enough to go through this phase and will comeback stronger.

With two World Cups coming in the next 15 months and the jam-packed Indian schedule, everyone wants both of them to regain their form as soon as possible. During an interaction with News18, Ganguly said that both are great players and he is confident that both will come good in the remaining matches and will score runs.
However, he also admitted that he is unaware of what is going on with Virat and what is in his head, but that he is a great player. The BCCI president is hopeful that the former Indian skipper will come back in form and score runs soon.
When asked about the ongoing season of the IPL, he said that it is amazing how the season is going on and, with the addition of two more teams, it has become very competitive. Talking about a few players, he said that SRH pacester Umran Malik is performing well and has impressed everyone with his speed. He also said that Umesh Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed are also doing well this season.
Ganguly further spoke about the two new franchises. He said that the Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are doing well in their debut seasons. Prasing on Umran Malik, he said that the SRH pacer has emerged as the face of this season.
Talking further about his home ground, Eden Gardens, he said that they want to increase the sitting capacity of the ground. He concluded, "We have to make it 1 Lakh. Eden Gardens is an old stadium and we have to upgrade it."
