"I don't play to show-off" - Wriddhiman Saha reacts to his performance for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022

In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Gujarat Titans (GT) wicketkeeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha believes that if your mind is calm then you will be able to perform better. 

Let us tell you that after sitting out the first few matches, Saha was given an opportunity to open with Shubman Gill for Gujarat Titans which proved to be right for the team. Both the openers gave the team a decent start in many matches.

Against the deadly bowling of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Saha scored 68 runs in 38 balls with the help of 11 fours and a six. Due to this innings, the team achieved the target of 196 runs for Hyderabad and also got 2 very important points for the team. 

Saha has scored 154 runs in 5 matches playing in the IPL 2022 so far. Gill's form has also been modest after the first few matches but after the arrival of Saha up the ordee, the team has got a decent start from the top-order batsmen.

Saha said that he always wanted to play a key role in the team's victory and he did the same against Hyderabad. It is very difficult to score 196 runs in 20 overs and that too in front of the deadly bowling unit that Hyderabad possesses. But Saha batted very well. He said that he doesn't want to prove his game to anyone, but want to play only to make his team win matches.

"I don’t play to show off to anyone, I just play to make my team win," said the Indian wicketkeeper batsman.

He said that he knew that they are going to score around 200 and he had to had a clean start. He continued that it's a big thing that he helped his team win the match.

He further added that one can perform better when his mind is calm, because if one doesn't know the plans of the bowlers, then he will not be able to play them and will lose the wicket.
