"I played with Sachin, so I'll go..."- AUS skipper Pat Cummins picks the best batter from Virat Kohli or Sachin Tendulkar
The first ever cricket match was officially played in 1877, and it's been almost 150 years to this game and over the years, it has seen some of the legendary batters that have dominated the cricketing world in theri peak.
But not many had an incredible cricketing career like Sachin Tendulkar or Virat Kohli. These two are among the best batters in their own era that the game has ever produced. These two need no introduction in this game and have achieved a lot of success in their respective careers.
That is the main reason that the comparison between the "God of Cricket" and 'King Kohli" takes place more often than not. Many former cricketers, current players, cricket experts or pundits and analysts have shared their opinion regadring who is best Indian batter among Virat or Sachin.
Many pick Sachin as the best Indian batter, while some name Virat as the best player India has ever produced. There is no doubt that Sachin took batting to a whole new level with some of his incredible records, and Virat has carried that legacy forward.
And now, Australia's Test and ODI captain Pat Cummins has also shared his opinion on this famous comparison between the two Indian legends. In an interaction on Prime Video, he was asked to pick the best Indian batter among these two. He had a nice answer and said, "I’ve only ever played cricket with Sachin Tendulkar, so I’ll go by the name Virat Kohli."
However, Cummins wasn't able to pick one name against these two, and it showed in his answer. Virat has been within touching distance of Sachin when it comes to scoring centuries in ODI cricket. He has shown great form and has scored 46 ODI hundreds. On the other hand, Sachin has 49 ODI centuries to his name. But overall, Sachin is ahead of him and has 100 international centuries in comparison to Virat's 74.
