"I think RCB won't qualify for playoffs" - Wasim jaffer names four teams who will qualify for IPL 2022 Playoffs
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have lost momentum after a strong start to IPL 2022, and they must regroup quickly before it's too late. Before the start of yesterday’s game against Punjab Kings, RCB needed a win in their last two games to seal their playoff spot.
Virat Kohli's form has been a major source of concern for RCB this season, as the 33-year-old has been unable to make his bat talk. He got a half-century against Gujarat Titans but it took him 53 balls to make 58, putting the other batters under strain.
In Yesterday’s match against Punjab kings, chasing 210 RCB fans were hoping for their star batsman Virat Kohli to take the team home but it was not the case as he was unlucky to get out to Kagiso Rabada.
The bowling lineup has its flaws as well, with Mohammed Siraj being off-color this season. However Dinesh Karthik, Shahbaz Ahmed, Harshal Patel, have all been on fire this season, and they'll have to keep it up if RCB are to advance. Josh Hazlewood had a bad outing yesterday as he gave 64 runs of his 4 overs at an economy of 16. Glenn Maxwell, the prolific Australian big hitter is yet to fire in this season for RCB.
Wasim Jaffer while speaking to CricTracker he said Rajasthan will be highly disappointed if they fail to win one out of their remaining 2 matches. He also said it will not be happening. He also said that he is expecting DC or PBKS to get into the playoffs as he strongly believes that RCB will bottle it up and will not enter the playoffs.
So the four teams who will qualify for the playoffs according to Wasim Jaffer are Gujarat Titans (who have already qualified), Lucknow Super Giants, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals or Punjab Kings.
RCB will play their last league match against the table toppers Gujarat Titans at Wankhede Stadium. It will also be a do or die encounter for the boys from Bangalore to get into the playoffs.
