"I thought there was something", Rishabh Pant reveals the reason why he did not take the review of Tim David's edge when he was on zero

Tim David - Rishabh Pant review

Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by five wickets on Saturday. DC needed the win to qualify for the next stage of the tournament. However, with that loss, they will now stay away from the playoffs of an IPL season after a long time. One of the key moments was when Pant did not review Tim David's caught-behind. There was an edge and eventually, it was David who helped Mumbai cross the line. In this article, we take a look as Rishabh Pant reveals the reason why he did not take the review of Tim David's edge when he was on zero.

Pant shockingly did not take the review against Tim David

Tim David had just arrived at the crease and Shardul Thakur bowled a good delivery that went past the edge of Tim David's bat. It looked really close and there was a clear sound that was heard. However, despite the conversation with his teammates, Pant decided against taking the review. This was, although, the team still had two reviews left. Tim David went on to score 34 of 11 and made Mumbai win the encounter.

The Delhi Capitals skipper reveals the reason for the same

The talk after the game was about Pant not taking the review. Had he done that, Delhi could have won the game easily. The Indian wicket-keeper spoke about the same later on. Talking in the post-match conversation, Pant said, "I thought there was something. Everyone standing in the circle wasn't convinced and in the end, I didn't go up."

It was a costly mistake by Pant but it will be a good learning curve for the player. With Delhi's loss, RCB has now entered the playoffs of IPL 2022.
