"He can fit into any team in the World" - Glenn McGrath's advice to Umran Malik

Many ex-cricketers have been impressed with his ability. Former Australian pacer Glenn McGrath, who feels that Umran can fit into any playing XI in the world, has given him some advice as well. The 22-year-old has been bowling fast and clicking at a speed of 150 km/h on a regular basis.

Umran made headlines when he began consistently bowling over 150kmlh and even bowled the second fastest delivery in an IPL match against the Delhi Capitals, when he clicked 157 km/h. However, McGrath believes that he needs to focus a little bit on his line and length as well, because only pace will not be useful.

During a discussion with Sportstar, the legend said that sheer pace is important, but he needs to work on his controls as well. If he can bowl with speed and control, he can play for any team in the world. He also said that once a batsman knows how you bowl, bowling at a speed of over 150 km/h will always put pressure on the body.

The former Australian pacer also wants Umran to put in the hard work like Jasprit Bumrah does. However, McGrath also said that doing well in an IPL season or making a debut is not all. That is just the start of the real journey. 

He also added that if he needs to be successful on the international circuit, he needs to work hard. The former pacer concluded, "Bumrah puts in so much work off the field to stay strong, as do so many other bowlers."
