"In my opinion, they've 60-65 percent chance"- Shahid Afridi's huge statement on high voltage IND-ENG Semi-final
The all-awaited knockout stage of the ongoing T20 World Cup is all set to begin with a high-voltage clash between Pakistan and New Zealand on Wednesday at the Sydney Cricket Ground. It will be followed by another blockbuster event between India and England on Thursday.

New Zealand, who started the season with a thrashing over the defending champions Australia, set the tone for the Black Caps, and they became the first team to qualify for the finals. On the other hand, England has had a bit of a mixed tournament so far.

But eventually, Jos Buttler and his men made it to the semis. However, the scenes in Group 2 were more dramatic, where Pakistan got the ticket to the semi-final with the help of other teams. Till the very last day of the group stage, it looked like Pakistan would be knocked out of the tournament.

But the Netherlands' unexpected win over South Africa helped the Men in Green make a dramatic entry in the semi-final. India was the dominant team in Group 2 and ended the group on top with four wins. However, now they will face England at the Adelaide Oval on November 10.

And ahead of the IND-ENG clash, former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi had made a huge claim over India's future in the knockout stage. In an interview on SAMAA TV, Afridi picked England as a favourite to win the game against India.

He said, "Both the teams are equally balanced and performed well at the tournament. Even their past performances have been good. But in my opinion, I'll keep England 60-65 percent above India."

Furthermore, he also said that England is a more balanced side, and their combination is really good in both the batting and bowling departments, and with some good spinners, they are the favourites to win the semi-final. Afridi also pointed out that whichever team makes fewer mistakes will end up having the upper hand.

For India, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav will be the key players in the batting department, while Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have put on a great display of swing bowling. Thus, it will be a great contest between the two top sides on Thursday.
