In the next T20 World Cup 2022, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar predicts that Ravindra Jadeja will struggle to secure a regular spot in India's starting lineup. Recently, there have been numerous discussions on which players, particularly in the middle and lower orders, will start for India. The selectors will find it difficult to choose 15 players for the tournament since there are numerous excellent performers.

Due to an injury, the star Indian all-rounder was unable to participate in India's five-match T20I series against South Africa this month. With just 116 runs and 5 wickets in 10 matches for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2022, his performances were poor. Against South Africa, Axar Patel batted at number seven as a spin all-rounder option, but he did not prove himself worthy of that spot with his performances.

Sanjay Manjrekar talking to Firstspot said that, “India might settle in with somebody like Axar Patel”. He also said that it will not be easy for Ravindra Jadeja to find himself a place in the playing 11.  He said that with Dinesh Kathik now playing as a complete batsman it will be huge for team India. He further added that Rishabh Pant is still a work in progress for team India. With Rishabh Pant fighting for the spot in the playing 11 it will be fascinating to see who gets the nod.

Many Indian fans think that there is always a problem between Ravindra Jadeja and Sanjay Manjrekar. In the 2019 World Cup when Sanjay Manjrekar called Ravindra Jadeja a bits and pieces player, Ravindra Jadeja answered him with the bat by playing a crucial knock in team India getting near to the finish line. Though India lost that semi final match, Jadeja’s knock will be remembered forever. Still that miraculous throw from Martin Guptill haunts the Indian fans.

Coming to this year's World Cup, Ravindra Jadeja will walk into the 11 if he is fit to play.  He might play a crucial role along with Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik in the team having a successful outing in this year's T20 World Cup at Australia.
