The BCCI and Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced India's tour of the West Indies on Wednesday, with the 'Men in Blue' playing three ODIs and five T20Is between July 22 and August 7. On July 17, India's white-ball phase of the UK tour will conclude, and those picked will fly immediately to the West Indies from England. The ODI series and three T20Is will be staged in Trinidad and Tobago and St Kitts and Nevis, with the final two T20Is taking place at Fort Lauderhill, Florida.

The three One-Day Internationals will be held on July 22, 24, and 27 at Port of Spain's (Trinidad & Tobago) historic Queen's Park Oval, followed by five Twenty-20 Internationals, two of which will be held at Florida's Fort Lauderhill.

The first T20I will be played on July 29 at Brian Lara Stadium in Port of Spain, followed by two games on August 1 and 2 at Warner Park in St Kitts. The final two games will be hosted at Broward County Stadium in Florida on August 6 and 7, in order to cater to the Indian diaspora in the United States.

The timeframe will be published after the US has given its clearance. On Friday, a key CWI official with intimate knowledge of the developments told this publication, "We are waiting for the approval from the US."

Given the improvement in Coronavirus conditions around the world, it's unlikely that any of the tours will have too many days of quarantine or tight bio-bubbles requirements. "The India series is still roughly three months away," a CWI official stated, "but medical regulations will have to be followed as needed."

Meanwhile India will be playing a T20I series against South Africa starting from June 9.The Indian team will be playing under the captaincy of KL Rahul. Big players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are rested for this series.
