Indian Women's Cricket Team Commonwealth Games 2022 Full Schedule and Timing

The Commonwealth Games is back as countries from around the world is set to make marks in the game of athletics. And for the first time since the year 1998, Cricket will be a part of the Commonwealth Games this time around.

The 2022 Commonwealth Games is a multi-sports event that is scheduled to be played in Birmingham beginning from the 28th July with the opening ceremony while the games officially begins from the 29th of July.

And after a long gap of more than 24 years, cricket has been reintroduced as part of the game. The last time that cricket was part of the Commonwealth Games was in 1998 in Kuala Lumpur when a List A men's tournament was held.

However, this time around, it has been moved a step further as the women's teams from some top countries will be taking part in the Commonwealth Games 2022 to be played in Birmingham. The tournament will be played in a single round-robin format and then the playoffs for the medals. All the matches will be played in T20 format.

With the action set to take place from tomorrow onwards, let's have a look at the Indian women's cricket team's schedule in the Commonwealth Games 2022.

Team India have been drawn with Australia, Pakistan and Barbados in the Group B of the competition. A total of 2 teams from Group A and B will make it to the semi-finals and the winner of those will play for the Gold Medal while the loser of the two semi-finals will play for the 3rd place and bronze medal.

The Indian women's team open their campaign with their first match against the mighty Australian women's team on the opening day of the competition on 29th of July from 4:30 PM IST.

After that, they play the Pakistan women's team on 31st July at 4:30 PM IST and the Barbados women's cricket team on the 3rd of August at night commencing from 11:30 PM IST.

The two semi-finals will be played on the 6th of August while the final match of the competition will be played on the 7th of August.
