KKR batsman Nitish Rana shares cryptic post after declined from Indian squad for SA T20Is

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)'s aggressive left-hand batsman Nitish Rana has indirectly expressed his disappointment after not being selected in the Indian team for the 5-match T20 International series against South Africa. 

Let us tell you that in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Rana played couple of important innings for KKR, out of which KKR have won matches due to some innings.

On May the 22nd, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had announced a squad of 18 players for the T20 series against South Africa, in which Nitish Rana's name was not included. After this, Nitish Rana expressed his disappointment by tweeting in his official Twitter account. Nitish Rana tweeted on social media and wrote that 'things will change very quickly'.

Nitish Rana has played 2 T20 International matches for the Indian team. However, his performance in both of the matches were not up to mark to impress the critics. He made his debut against Sri Lanka in July 2021, after which he did not get many opportunities. Talking about IPL, Nitish Rana has played a total of 91 matches, in which he has scored 2181 runs at an average of 28.

It must be noted that, KL Rahul will lead the Indian team in the South Africa series. Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli have been rested for this series. At the same time, Avesh Khan, Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya have been included in the team after performing well in IPL 2022.

The first match of this series will be played in New Delhi on June 9. The second and third matches will be played in Cuttack on June 12 and Visakhapatnam on June 14. The fourth match will be played in Rajkot on 17th June and the last match will be played in Bangalore on 19th June.
