Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Moeen Ali has heaped praise on Devon Conway, who performed well with the bat in the match against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. Conway has appeared for CSK this season as a replacement for Faf du Plessis, who is representing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) instead.

Conway was included in the playing XI in the very first league match of IPL 2022 but he could not perform well there, then he was also dropped from the Playing XI in the next couple of matches.

Meanwhile, Devon Conway got married and for that he took a break from IPL for a few days. Conway was again included in the team as soon as Dhoni became the captain. Since then, he has frequently performed with Ruturaj as an opener and has given the team a good start in every match.

Meanwhile, after seeing his excellent form, his teammate Moeen Ali has praised him in a different way.

In a video shared by CSK on social media, Moeen Ali said that marriage has definitely worked for him and that both Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad are giving the team a good start as openers and that the team desperately needed such a start.

"Marriage is working for him and he is doing well ever since," said the English all-rounder.

He said that Conway is a great player and is doing consistently well in this tournament, for which, he expressed his happiness. He added that they needed a player like Faf du Plessis, after the latter joined RCB in the auction.

The 30-year-old Conway made an impressive comeback in the tournament with an unbeaten 85 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, followed by another half-century against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In the last match, Devon Conway gave his best performance so far by scoring 87 runs against Delhi Capitals. Thanks to his inning, CSK put 209 runs on the board, which proved to be too much for Rishabh Pant led side as CSK won by a huge margin of 91 runs.
