With just about a week left for the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 edition, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team management has been made to think as their star English all-rounder Moeen Ali's arrival has been delayed due to visa issues.

The Indian Premier League (IPL)'s 2022 season gets underway on the 26th of March in Mumbai with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on the Kolkata based Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). But before that, there is some concerns among the Chennai team management.

Moeen Ali was retained by the franchise after playing a vital role in helping Chennai lift the Trophy. The team's CEO Kasi Vishwanathan confirmed to Cricbuzz that Moeen Ali had applied for Visa on the 28th February, but is yet to receive the paper. He also revealed that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is also helping the team to sort out things as quick as possible.

Moeen Ali has had a great campaign last year playing for the MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The prolific English all-rounder played a total of 15 matches last year, and scored 357 runs for Chennai. He also took 6 wickets.

Thanks to his performance for the side in IPL 2021, he was retained by the franchise as the 3rd retention slot ahead of IPL 2022 Mega Auction, which will give him 8 crores. Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni and Ruturaj Gaikwad are the other players who were retained.
