"Path is going to be difficult" - Sachin Tendulkar revealed his advice to his son Arjun
MI did try almost all their resources during the course of the entire season. But the only thing they didn't happen was the debut of Arjun Tendulkar. There was a few speculations ahead of the last game against DC that Arjun might get his maiden cap, but it didn't happen.
It was quite a surprise for the fans as well. But in cricket, sometimes it takes too much to prove yourself. Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar, revealed the advice he has his son Arjun. Sachin is the mentor of the Mumbai Indians and his son has been a member of the team since 2021.
The 22-year-old, who has done a decent job while representing Mumbai at the domestic level, was bought by the franchise for INR 30 lakh at the mega auction. However, he has still not been able to make his debut in two seasons.
In a cricket show called "SachInsight", the Indian legend said that he doesn't think much about his selection in the team and never gets involved in the selection process for the MI, rather he leaves it to the decision of the management. He added, "He (Arjun) should focus on his game and not think about the selection part."
However, he also revealed his discussion with Arjun. He said that he has told him that it will always be difficult path, but if you have started playing cricket, it means you love the game and will continue to do so, and if you continue to work hard, the result will surely follow.
However, this season was not that good for MI, as this was their worst season in IPL history. Even skipper Rohit Sharma struggled throughout the season and didn't score even one single fifty-plus score.
