Predicting Mumbai Indians' Strongest Playing XI For Next Match Against Lucknow

Mumbai Indians

The Mumbai Indians will play their eighth match of IPL 2022 against the Lucknow Super Giants tomorrow. MI have surprisingly failed to win a single game in IPL 2022 so far. Despite having match-winners like Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard and Jasprit Bumrah in the squad, MI have failed to match the expectations.

Nevertheless, with their chances of making it to the playoffs all but over, the Mumbai Indians may look to experiment in their remaining seven matches.

In this article now, we will look at the predicted playing XI of Mumbai Indians for their next fixture against the Lucknow Super Giants.

Openers - Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma

Despite their inconsistent performances in IPL 2022, it should not be a surprise if the Mumbai Indians team management sticks with the opening pair of Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma. Both are champion players and could return to form soon.

Middle Order - Dewald Brevis, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma

The form of the middle-order batters has been one of the few positives for MI this season, and the trio of Dewald Brevis, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma should retain their spots in the playing XI.

All-rounders - Kieron Pollard, Tim David and Hrithik Shokeen .

Tim David should get a game after being signed by 8 crore at the IPL Auction. He was benched after a couple of failures. Kieron Pollard and Hrithik Shokeen complete the all-rounders’ section.

Bowlers - Daniel Sams, Arjun Tendulkar and Jasprit Bumrah

Daniel Sams cemented his place in the playing XI with a four-wicket haul against CSK. Arjun Tendulkar should get a chance to play after warming the benches for so long. He might come in for Jaydev Unadkat and share the new ball with the experienced pacer Jasprit Bumrah. It will be interesting to see if MI can end their losing streak.
