Ravichandran Ashwin speaks on Rahul Dravid's statement regarding Indian players playing foreign leagues
Indian team's experienced spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has supported the statement of Team India's head coach Rahul Dravid in which he said that if Indian players participate in foreign leagues then India's domestic cricket can be in danger. At the same time, he had said that India's domestic cricket collides with foreign leagues.
Let us tell you that Dravid made this statement after Team India's defeat in T20 World Cup 2022, when he was asked by a journalist whether BCCI would allow Indian players to play in foreign leagues or not. So on this Dravid had said that BCCI will take a decision on this and said that if this happens then India's domestic cricket may be in danger.
And now R Ashwin has given a big statement supporting the point of head coach Rahul Dravid. Ashwin believes that he has actually given a very good answer to the question.
Let us inform you that Ashwin has said a lot while supporting that statement of coach Rahul Dravid on his YouTube channel. Ashwin said that one cannot ask such questions in a post-match press conference as a reaction to losing the game and that this is a very wrong question for the coach of a cricket team.
Apart from this, Ashwin said, "we should understand that India's domestic tournaments start from the end of August or from September and continue till March. By the end of March, the final of Ranji Trophy will be over and IPL will happen as soon as Ranji Trophy is over."
Taking his point further, Ashwin said,"if we do not play our first-class cricket, then the sample size of our players will reduce. Rahul bhai replied beautifully thinking something like this."
