According to an update on ESPNCricinfo, Ricky Ponting said, 'If I were a selector, I would have definitely kept a player like Tim David in the team. He may or may not play but the way he has the ability to strike the ball, he is a tremendous match winner. He is the one player who can really win you the T20 World Cup."

He further added, "Seeing him reminds me of Andrew Symonds of 2003." Let us tell you that earlier Tim David had also expressed his desire to play for Australia in the T20 World Cup.
